Macbook Pro Crisis Update

Praise the Macbook Gods! My dad informed me 20 minutes ago that the nice people at Apple are gonna fix my Macbook for free. That's right folks, what would cost 349 bucks is gonna be at the low price of free!

I'll it back in 5-7 days, but they don't know if my files can be saved. They told my dad that it depends on the damage. If it's too extensive, my Mac will have to be wiped. But now I'm hoping they'll be able to save my files.

If not, then I jus start my stories where I left off (since I found the ones that I didn't have backed up in my email). So that means I'll have to start typing up my Buffy fics where I stopped: that would be Chapter 7 (which I hadn't even started) of Family Portrait and Chapter 2 (which I was almost done with, but this gives me a chance to rewrite it) of A Twist in My Story.

I don't think there are words to express how happy I am that my Mac can be fixed.

Awesome news! Like I said, your hard drive should be fine. I took apart my last MacBook Pro and installed a new hard drive. They're pretty insulated in there. I highly recommend that you get an external hard drive that is slightly larger than your current hard drive to back up to. :)

Yay! Go Mac Go! Hope all will be well when you get your MBP back.

As for me, it's back to washing the dishes to 'Rock the Casbah'. I told my boyfriend he would regret giving me that subwoofer for Christmas. Heh heh heh! (dances away)
