Merciful Zeus, Batman! It's another geek!

Like others before me, I made the switch to Dreamwidth. I've been meaning to for a while and finally just decided to do so.

In other news, after 2 months of unemployment I finally found a job and am now a server at Olive Garden. I've been there for almost a month and so far it's going well, even if it's making my right pinky finger worse. I still don't know what exactly I did to it back in January, but I know I somehow hurt it (I think it's either a really bad jam or a fracture of some sort) and carrying those heavy ass trays is making it worse.

Two days ago marked a year since Copper passed away and, almost as if it was fate, my parents were running errands when they decided to look at the pet adoption event that was happening. For over a year, every time it was pet adoption day, my parents avoided it and always said no when I brought up getting another dog. But a year after losing Copper, my parents came home with a little 8 week old marble Pom. Her left eye is blue, her right eye is brown, and she is just a little ball of fluff and energy. We named her Cookie Dough, although we just call her Cookie...or Cookie Monster. She's been trying to get Ru and Lilly to play with her all weekend, and neither of them have any interest- although they do check up on her and make sure she's okay, they just won't play with her.

This is Cookie.

So for the last two weeks I've been editing my final project for school. The story is solid, the continuity is great, I have plenty of coverage and all that jazz- there's just one problem. One of my scenes was shot with a lower quality camera.

And it's noticeable.

So among the many things I have to tweak for Tuesday, I have to figure out how to color correct the rest of my scenes and add a grainy texture to them so it matches somewhat.

I have no idea how to do this.

I was so proud of my final until this problem reared it's ugly head.

Wow, I just realized that it's been a while since I posted something that wasn't fic related on here. So this is me correcting that.

Anyways, I've been in class for 3 weeks now and I LOVE them! All 4 of them rock and I've actually talked to people in my classes and made friends with them (something that didn't happen in Hunstville until I was already leaving). I've met some wicked awesome people at the academy and my RAs are awesome- and they've already established that I'm the go-to person for movies, as well as stealing my Buffy DVDs. Like hell that'll happen.

Anyways, homework for my classes is pretty chill. I have to write word vomit for 2 weeks and just make observation about random objects for my Successful Storytelling class, edit a 60 second movie trailer for my Non-Linear Editing class, film 10 cars and watch Vertigo for my Cinematic Storytelling class and pretend to be Batgirl for my Respect for Acting class.

My teachers are awesome too. My Cinematic Storytelling teacher is best friends with the director of Fight Club (one of my all time favorite movies), so that's fucking cool!

And then there are about 3 cute guys that I've met in my classes, one of them even asked me to lunch today cos we were in the lab logging our clips for our movie trailers. Of course he asked me then cos I look like shit since I'm sick (and well on my way to becoming sicker).

Other than that, nothing really to update. Except my brother did get pissed off at me enough to tell me to fuck off and stay outta his life over the weekend for something I didn't do. But that's all fixed since he ended up confessing to my parents the thing that he was pissed at me for- it's a long story.

And since I don't wanna end this post with a bad memory, as of now it looks like I'll be going to Comic-Con with bobbymcg next year. WE ARE SO FUCKING EXCITED!

 So a long time ago (about a year ago) I realized that I was being stalked. Not by a creeper, but by a celebrity. Anthony Head, to be exact.

“But Stevelle, how is he stalking you?”- that’s you, by the way.

Well, let me explain how that works.

You see, Anthony Head is in Buffy (as we all know, and if you didn’t know that then no…just no). After watching Buffy and all that, I had no idea what other things he was in- and I didn’t look it up cos I always forgot to do that.
Then I watched School Reunion (Doctor Who Season 2, Episode 3) and Anthony Head popped up. Then in Sweeney Todd, he pops up for a grand total of 5 seconds- it still counts cos he talks and is on screen. Then I watched Repo! The Genetic Opera and there he was again!

When I started watching Merlin and saw that he was in it, I was like ‘OMG….it’s like he’s stalking me!’. Then a friend told me to watch Manchild cos she said it was pretty damn funny- and he’s in that show. Then one of my best friends told me to watch Little Britain…and Anthony’s in it in season 3. The same friend told me to watch Free Agents…and I think we all know how this sentence is gonna end.

And it always seems like whenever I tune into Chiller (the awesome horror network), Anthony pops up on my TV. The first time it was for the True Horror show he did. And now it’s either for Buffy or commercials for Buffy.

Then last month, he showed up in one of the weirdest dreams I had ever had- I’m not gonna go into detail, but it involved me being at the Houston RenFest with one of my best friends and running into the cast of Merlin and Starz’s Camelot, and then having a dance party where Anthony was hitting on me.

A few weeks later, I had a dream where me and my 2 best friends were arrested and I ended up having to share a cell with Lady Gaga and Anthony Head- and in that dream, I had to share a bed with him.

So last night, I had another dream. Anthony was in it. He was in my house, sharing a shit load of chocolate with me as we watched Red Mist and Monty Python. And the whole time, he was flirting with me.

So, I swear I’m being stalked by Anthony Head.

Not that I mind.

 Okay…so I’m going to Comicpalooza (which is Houston’s big comic con) and I’ve been excited ever since I got my ticket for my birthday last month.

But I just looked at the website to see if there were any updates and I’m so glad I did. Not only did they add the screening for Browncoats Redemption, but Terrence Zdunch (Graverobber) is gonna be there for a Q&A.

Naturally, I’m excited that someone from Repo! The Genetic Opera is gonna be there. But I did further investigation and found out that it’s not just a Q&A he’s there for…he’s there cos COMICPALOOZA IS FUCKING PLAYING REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA ON SATURDAY!!!!

Seriously, there are no words to properly express how excited I am now. I’m literally shaking from excitement.

I now have my whole weekend planned out:

Saturday- Firefly Q&A w/ Sean Maher, Being Human (SyFY's version) Q&A w/ Meaghan Rath (Sally) and Repo! The Genetic Opera (plus Q&A with Terrence Zdunch)

Sunday- Harry Potter Q&A w/ Devon Murray (Seamus)

I'm sure there's more, but those are the ones that I'm def gonna hit up. Especially Repo!

ANYWAYS...it's her birthday. That's right, my McBrother is another year older today. Although, she still has an hour until her birthday- she moved 2 weeks ago. We're very sad. And since she moved, she became a time traveller.

 So my little brother (he's 16) is dating someone who is a ridiculously awesome singer.

For a 16 year old, she rocks. She's one of those people who better get a record deal in the future.

That's how good she is.

Anyways, she was doing this singing competition tonight against other high schoolers in the Houston area.

1st place won 2500 bucks, 2nd place won 1000 bucks and 3rd won 500 bucks.

Out of the 12 people who were in this contest, she made it to the top 3.

Out of the top 3, she made it to the top 2.

She won second place.

This was gonna be a gif story, but two things happened that prevented that idea.

1- Photobucket deleted majority of my gifs, so I had to go back and get them again (and that happened Friday)

2- I'm still uploading and reorganizing, but photobucket doesn't wanna work with me right now and being slow.

So this is gonna be a regular post.

Remember how sick I've been? Well, I got better Friday morning. So it was gonna be a good birthday.

Now, about my birthday....

IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!!

I went to one of my favorite places (Joe's Crab Shack) and ate this 6 layer chocolate cake. It was delicious. The only reason I had cake there was because we were gonna do cake the next day cos my great-grandpa didn't come in until 10 Friday night. So I had cake at Joe's.

Then my favorite part about my birthday came up.

PREZZIES!!!

I got a grand total of 175 bucks from my mom's parents (25 bucks), my dad's mom and step-dad (50 bucks) and my parents (100 bucks). My brother got me a t-shirt from the concert he went to (and one that I wanted to go to), and it was even better cos that's the first gift he has ever bought with his own money. My friend got me the Buffy Season 8 Motion Comics on Blu-Ray, and bobbymcg got me this bad ass Doctor Who shirt.

Now my parents got me so awesome stuff. First off, they got me a shirt- but not just any shirt, a Buffy shirt (it says, '...and then Buffy staked Edward. The end' and has the outline of two stakes in the background). Second, they got me tickets to the Houston comic con.

On top of all that, I got tweeted happy birthday by 6 celebrities. Which celebrities were crazy enough to tweet me, you ask? Here they are:

So my birthday rocked.

Yesterday, I went to Galveston with my parents and great-grandpa for a few hours. We ate at this nice sea food restaurant and I had some awesome shrimp for lunch. For dinner we went to this great place called The Potatoe Patch with my mom's parents- I had this great  bacon burger and awesome white chocolate chip muffins.

Now....the Doctor Who premiere.

Words cannot describe how PERFECT it was! I mean, my mind is still blown and I'm demanding that it be next Saturday RIGHT NOW.

The first episode of this season was just....

WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE!

I cried. I yelled at the TV. I laughed. I giggled. I even awwww'd.

Basically, my emotions were taken on a roller coaster. As was my mind.

I still don't like River or Rory.

I still ship Eleven and Amy. Hardcore.

The only thing new about me and this fandom is that I now ship River and Rory.

Don't ask cos I can't even begin to explain where that ship came from. All I know, thanks to bobbymcg is that I'm not alone in shipping them.

Now on to how my Easter went.

It was the same as any other day, with the exception of this nice little basket full of chocolatey goodness (that's right, I'm 19 and I still get an easter basket) and a big dinner.

My neighbor ended up having dinner with us (which gave us a full house of me, my brother, my parents, my mom's parents, my great-grandpa and my neighbor). And I love my neighbor, she's like family.

She even told my great-grandpa tonight that my parents were like her own kids- so my brother asked if that made me and him her grandkids.

We laughed in merriment.

Then after dinner we had my birthday cake.

Actually, the cake came after 2 hours of telling stories.

So all in all, this weekend has been a good weekend.

Except for the whole gif drama photobucket has put me through.

So I should be updating my fics tonight. As well as finishing up a video and most likely starting another one.

And, question....should I change my mood icon things?

If i do, I'm thinking either making a Buffy/Giles set or a Uther/Morgana set.

Or should I go with a pre-made Merlin or Doctor Who set?

Or make a Repo! set?

Or do I keep my Giles set?

What should I do?
