So, it's freezing down here in this wonderful small town outside of Houston. And I mean, there is high chance of snow this afternoon. But it sucks cos I was flying to Lubbock tonight to spend the weekend but my mom just called to tell me that my flight was cancelled. So the one thing I had planned for this weekend  is not happening.

And I normally wake up and watch Buffy before I leave for class, but of course I wake up to one of the most (if not the most) depressing episode. Because I just love to start off my mornings watching 'The Body'.

In other news, I'm still waiting to find out if my classes have been cancelled since I have to drive 25 minutes to get to my campus...and I don't wanna be stuck there if it does snow when I'm getting out of my English class.

Today is just a werid day.

While I don't want to watch "The Body" first thing in the morning either, I have to say that it is one of my favorite Buffy episodes. First off, Anya rocked that episode, trying to understand death and what it means and how we are supposed to feel in the face of it. Buffy's reaction to the death of her mother was so heart wrenching. I personally would have awarded Best Actress to Sarah Michelle Gellar and Best Supporting Actress to Emma Caulfield just for that episode.

What also was striking is the cinematography. Brilliant. How the camera followed the characters, the lighting, everything. But the most amazing thing in the episode was its lack of musical soundtrack. There was no mood music for the actors to hide behind when conveying the emotions. The viewer got to experience raw emotion without musical manipulation (don't get me wrong... love music, BIG soundtrack fan). Overall just a brilliant episode.

Sorry you can't go visiting your friend. I remember one spring break where it snowed feet and then we got ice on top of that. I was stuck for the whole week and change inside the house with my parents and brother. Worst. Spring Break. EVAR!

Here's to hoping your class was cancelled.

Yeah, 'The Body' is a beautiful episode and one of my favorites as well...despite the depressing factor.

But, no sooner did the episode end, I got emails from my professors saying they cancelled class. So now I don't have to leave my warm blanket
