7 Drabbles

So I thought I would give writing drabbles a try. And seeing as how today's Valentine's Day, all 7 of them are centered around this wonderful day.

The mood had been set. Candles, a home cooked romantic dinner, and music playing softly in the flat. Giles had wanted this night to be unforgettable. And when Amy entered the flat, he knew it would be unforgettable for all the wrong reasons.

“We are starving!” Amy exclaimed as she dragged the Doctor towards the table.

When the Doctor left, Giles found himself in argument with Amy. They yelled, threw things at each other, and made accusations of infidelity. The fighting led to Amy pushing him towards their bedroom, her lips fused with his.

“Happy Valentine’s Day, Giles.” She mumbled.

“Tell me where we’re going!” Merlin grumbled as Arthur dragged him down the trail in the forest.

“It’s a surprise.” The blonde chuckled.

Merlin shook his head and fought back the smile that wanted to be seen. For once Arthur wanted to spend time with just him, and he was holding his hand. This was already the best Valentine’s Day ever, in Merlin’s book.

They reached a clearing and he gaped. It looked like a romantic picnic for two. He turned around to question Arthur, only to be cut off as his friend’s lips met his for a sweet kiss.

She told herself that this outing, this…date was strictly to keep up the appearance that she was in love with Peeta. It had started with him buying her whatever candy she wanted, saying something about how all good dates involved sweets.

And now they were walking towards his house, hands together and fingers laced. Katniss ignored the feeling in the pit of her stomach when he smiled at her.

“I love you,” he whispered before gently brushing her lips with his.

“I know you do,” was all she could say. Because the alternative was something she didn’t want to believe.

The Doctor smiled as he leaned against the TARDIS, watching Amy stare in awe. He had brought her to a beach- just a normal beach on Earth- just in time to catch the sunrise. Just as the sun was making its appearance, the Time Lord strolled up to her side and grinned.

They stood in silence and watched the new day come in,

“Why did you bring me here?” she asked him.

“I remember you saying you wanted to see the sunrise on a beach one day,” he explained before pulling her into a hug. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Amelia Pond.”

It had started with dinner, just the two of them- which wasn’t so unusual. Uther usually always offered Morgana to join him for dinner. At some point, something had changed between them but neither one was willing to cross that line.

Until tonight, that is.

When Morgana had gotten up to leave after they were done, he was at her side with a soft smile.

“Uther?” she asked softly, very aware of his hand on the small of her back.

He lowered his head and kissed her. “Stay with me tonight.”

She gave him a smile before kissing him softly.

“Are you thinking about him?” Rose turned around to find her human Doctor.

“I can’t help but worry about him,”

“Rose, he’s fine.” He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her, a smile on his face. “You know him as well as I do.”

“But what if…”

He cut her off by kissing her deeply.

“I love you,” she grinned when they parted.

“Come on, it’s Valentine’s Day. Let’s celebrate our love,” he walked with her to their bedroom. “And stop worrying about him. This isn’t John’s first date,”

“I can still worry about my son if I want,”

“Are you sure you don’t wanna go, G-Man?” Xander asked.

“You might meet someone,” Willow added, giving him a knowing look.

“Yes, I’m sure.” He sighed, as he looked at them. “Go enjoy your Valentine’s,”

“He’s just cranky because he won’t be getting any orgasms.” Anya pointed out, which prompted Xander to drag her out of the Magic Box.

Buffy laughed from her place at the table.

“Is that true, Giles?” she asked teasingly when Willow and Tara left.

“If only they knew, luv.” He smiled as he pulled her to her feet, kissing her passionately.

“I love you, Giles.”
