So a few things have happened over the last few days that are completely noteworthy...
First, I had that job interview at Randall's. It went well, but I won't know if I got the job until some time next week. I'm hoping I get the job cos I really need money and a new car. Speaking of cars, my car was covered in ice this morning...just thought I'd throw in that driving in an ice box is not the greatest thing at 6:30 in the morning (and I feel very exhausted already and I've only been up for 2 hours).
And while we're on that topic, why was I driving at 6:30am? Because me, my mom and my brother had come up with a brilliant plan to get his parking spot at the high school. It involved me waiting at Starbucks in my car while my mom drove my brother in his car (she can't be passenger whenever me or my brother is driving) to the high school across the street from where I was. And while he went into one of the buildings to get his parking spot, my mom waited in his car (in the parking lot for the teachers) with Bruizer in the passenger seat- yes, we brought our 4 pound dog with us cos he likes to chew the carpet.
After Stevie got his parking tag, they drove to where I was and what happens next is what I've been waiting for since I turned 16. My mom decided to ride shot gun while I drove from the high school back to our house. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is. Ever since I got my driver's license, I've been looking forward to the day when my mom would be able to be passenger in my car- because every time we go somewhere and we take my car, I'm the one who's in the passenger seat. This was a big step for my mom and a day to be celebrated.
And on another note, Lady Gaga's new song came out this morning. I took a listen at her site and oh. My. God. It is amazing (btw, I'm a huge Lady Gaga fan). Naturally, I've already got it on my iPOD thanks to the awesomeness that is converting Youtube videos into music files. I'm always the first of my friends to have the newest music, and this was not going to be an exception.
As for the fics I'm working on, I'll hopefully have A Twist in My Story updated today (I started working on it last night) and a update for Family Portrait should soon follow that. I even have a few one-shots planned out for the near future, so hold tight guys.
Today is gonna be another day of cuddling with a blanket on my couch. My classes were cancelled again due to weather (and a few other things), so I sat at home and watched Repo! The Genetic Opera and Doctor Who. I might end up watching a few more movies (Catfish, It's Kind of a Funny Story, The Grudge, etc) today whenever I'm not working on my writing.
On a random note, I'm finding my user pic distracting. Actually, the picture I got it from is distracting...but we don't have to go into that. And, even more randomness, I proved to my friends on Facebook just how much of a geek I am- I played Six (actually, it was more than six) Degrees with Repo! TGO by connecting it to Merlin, Sweeney Todd, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Buffy, Angel, Bones, Scooby Doo (the movie), The Grudge, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Bring It On, She's All That, Robot Chicken, Family Guy and many more. Yes, that is how I spend my free time; I bring up movies and shows that my friends have seen certain actors in but never realize it.
