So I'm not sure if I made sanest choice....
About 2 weeks ago I heard that Katy Perry was coming to Houston in July, and I wanted to go (mainly to go with my brother since he's in love with Katy Perry). The tickets went on sale this morning and it was 10 minutes until the tickets went on sale that my mom informed me that prices were about as much as Lady Gaga tickets were (and that was an awesome concert...a real highlight of my life).
So my mom offered me a choice: Katy Perry tickets or New York (I was suppose to go last year during Spring Break for my senior trip, but my mom broke her heels and we put off the trip) this Spring Break. I chose New York.
Then she turned around and gave me another choice: New York or the Harry Potter theme park. Here is where I had difficulty deciding.
You see, I've already been to New York. I went my junior year in high school with my school newspaper. Needless to say, I went and fell in love with the place. So my mom had said she would take me for my senior trip and we would see a Broadway play of my choice. And I've been looking forward to that ever since my mom broke her heels the night before she bought our tickets.
As we all know, the Harry Potter theme park opened up last summer and I've been wanting to go ever since I first heard about the park. I had no idea when I would be able to go, but I was going to go at some point. Why? Because I'm a geek and a big HP fanatic. My plans of going this summer were thrown off since I'm going to be attending classes over the summer.
After 5 minutes of deciding, I chose the theme park over going back to New York. I'm not sure if that was the sanest choice I ever made, but I'm really excited about going to the Harry Potter theme park.

Date: 2011-01-30 03:46 am (UTC)It's weird though; I live in the Albany area. Somewhere between Albany and Saratoga to be specific (stalk me if you wish). It's about a 2 hour train ride to New York, but I've only been there three or four times in my life, usually just for day trips or punk shows or on my way to somewhere else. I lived in Montreal for a few years and I've been to Europe three times, but I don't know New York City very well at all despite how close I live. :P
Myself, I'm going to Europe again at the end of April. Paris, with a side order of either London or Amsterdam thrown in for kicks. I love traveling, so I can't wait! Never been to Paris before. Hope your trip is a lot of fun!
